As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, "Aquaman" is a superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Directed by James Wan, the movie was released in 2018. The film stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, the Aquaman, and features a supporting cast including Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, and Nicole Kidman.
The story follows Arthur Curry, who is reluctant to embrace his destiny as the ruler of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. However, when his half-brother, Orm (played by Patrick Wilson), seeks to unite the underwater kingdoms to declare war on the surface world, Arthur must step forward to claim his rightful place as Aquaman and prevent a catastrophic conflict.
"Aquaman" received generally positive reviews for its visual effects, action sequences, and Momoa's charismatic performance. The film's underwater scenes were particularly praised for their stunning visuals and innovative use of CGI technology. It proved to be a commercial success, grossing over a billion dollars worldwide.
